Employees' private data lives in tenants of its own; the company technically NEVER sees it. At Personio, HR and self-service data are tied to one tenant.
Shift planning, payroll preparation and accounting live in one app with one login. Personio only does HR, DATEV only payroll; you pay two licences and export all the time.
Feature requests land in days, not quarters. No corporate roadmap committee, but a small efficiency team plus modern code and AI tooling (Next.js, Postgres, LLM providers). Code and data are exportable, no lock-in.
For each custom role you decide which of the 245 permission keys apply: fine-grained down to the sub-action. SevDesk and lex office have fixed role stamps.
